Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has accused the President Bola Tinubu-led government of frustrating his life and means of livelihood.

Speaking in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Obi alleged that he would not be alive if Tinubu’s government had the opportunity.

The NDC presidential candidate alleged that the federal government is deliberately frustrating everything he does for a living.

The former Anambra governor said Tinubu’s government is attacking him personally, adding that he is being denied “things that he is entitled to”.

The way they are going… not even as a candidate, I might not even be alive. I’m telling you. Every single thing I do for a living, this government is frustrating it. Deliberately so. Everything.

”So there’s even a possibility that, if they have an opportunity, I will not be alive.

“I get frustrated everyday. Because you do things that you think will be normal, it is no longer normal.

They won’t come directly and say, ‘oh, we’re doing this’. But you could see their hands in virtually everything.

“They’re attacking everybody who is in opposition — personally. I am being attacked personally. Everything. Even to provide me with necessary things that I should have been entitled to.”

Obi recounted an experience at the Lagos airport where his car was clamped over allegations of wrongful parking, even though several other vehicles were parked in the same location.

The presidential candidate added that some people he knows at the airport now avoid greeting him for fear of becoming targets of the government
