Law enforcement authorities in A’Ibom are taking action against vehicles with illegal tinted windows,
sirens, and covered license plates.The Akwa Ibom Police Command has declared the implementation of
the prohibition on the unauthorized
use of tinted glasses, sirens, and obscured number plates while warning drivers to adhere to the directive.
The spokesperson for the command, Timfon John, revealed this information in a statement on Wednesday.
John mentioned that the Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom, Waheed Ayilara, has instructed a
crackdown on individuals who violate
this directive and emphasized the importance of ensuring safety on all roads within the state.
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has cautioned against the use of unauthorized tinted glass,
sirens, and hidden number plates on vehicles. Commissioner of Police
Waheed Ayilara expressed concern over the increasing use of these items on unauthorized private vehicles..
The presence of tinted glass, sirens, and hidden number plates on vehicles poses a considerable threat to public safety and order within the state. This practice hampers the ability of law enforcement officers to pinpoint vehicles engaged in unlawful activities, thus impeding their endeavors to
uphold a secure atmosphere for the people of Akwa Ibom and inhabitants of the state.
He stated that the ban was put in place to guarantee
full adherence to regulations concerning tinted windows,
the use of sirens, and hidden license plates,
and he encouraged all drivers using public roads to refrain from engaging in these practices.

implemented a prohibition on the use of tinted vehicle windows and obscured license plates.

Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, acting on behalf of the Commissioner of Police,
Bauchi State Command, Auwal Musa Muhammad.
