Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has urged Nigerians to participate in a peaceful demonstration against the
government of President Bola Tinubu. Gumi emphasized the importance of peaceful protests for
Nigerians to communicate their concerns to the government. He mentioned in a video that former
President Muhammadu Buhari himself participated in protests against the previous administration of
Goodluck Jonathan.Gumi stated that politicians are extremely obstinate,
and only mass protests can disrupt them.
He also mentioned that conflicts in Sudan and Liberia resembled family feuds, which are highly perilous.
However, Nigeria stands out due to its diverse ethnicities, religions, cultures, tribes, and sects.
According to Gumi, the government only comprehends the language of protest.
In 2015, Muhammadu Buhari and other high-ranking members of the All Progressives Congress,
APC, publicly voiced their opposition to the previous government's actions,
claiming that it had caused harm to Nigeria. At that time, the act of protesting was considered lawful,
but it is now deemed to be illegal.
With the grace of God, the demonstration will continue in a peaceful manner,
and it is imperative for the government to comprehend and react favorably to the message conveyed
through the protest.
Version 1: May the protest unfold peacefully by the will of God,
and it is essential for the government to acknowledge and react positively to the language of protest.
