Assembly supporting Wike gives Fubara a seven-day deadline to resubmit 2024 budget..

The Rivers State House of Assembly, under the leadership of Martin Amaewhule, has instructed the state Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, to resubmit the 2024 budget within a 7-day timeframe. This directive was given during the initial session of the pro-Wike House on Monday following a prolonged break.
In the meantime, a separate session is being conducted by the House faction led by Victor Oko-Jumbo. Ehie and the pro-Fubara legislators approved the budget estimates,
which were subsequently signed into law by the governor with the aim of fostering economic development, inclusive growth, and addressing socio-economic disparities in the state
