Justice Dehinde Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Lagos has instructed the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disasters Management and Social Development,
Sadia Umar-Farouk, to present a report on how N729bn allegedly distributed to 24.3 million impoverished Nigerians was carried out.
The court mandated the former minister to submit a comprehensive list of all the recipients, along with their banking information, who received the N5,000 distributed over a period of six months. The judge issued these directives during the ruling on a case, identified as FHC/L/CS/853/2021, initiated by Social Economic Rights and Accountability Project. SERAP disclosed that the ruling was made in June, with the certified true copy being made available by the court on Friday.
